Chathurika follows the idea that architecture is more than just a brick or concrete building. It is the creation of a spatial experience through a harmonized composition of tropical design, minimalism and simplicity; This configuration of elements put together is optimised by careful selection of materials; the modern rustic nature of locally sourced materials she uses, for example, give an earthy feel to the space which contrasts against simpler toned-down finishes, and is accentuated with an occasional splash of colour.
